​Yashama Thompson is a teacher educator committed to working collaboratively with the next generation of educators (both in and out of school buildings) to ensure that all children (big and small) experience humanizing instructional practices centered on their genius and cultural wealth.
Born and raised in Burgaw, North Carolina, she learned the importance of "it takes a village" and guides from this mantra in her work and research interests.
